18) Vegas - Calvin Harris

What do you do after you've helped produce some of the hottest albums around? Calvin Harris took a break from producing tracks for Kylie Minogue, Roisin Murhpy and the Tings Tings to produce his own album I Created Disco. Vegas is just one of the many hidden gems off this dance album.

8) Lightsonic - Groove Armada

Lightsonic is my favorite track off of Groove Armada's Soundboy Rock. Hands down. I can't think of a better summer song than this. Put Calvin Harris' and Kissy Sell Out's remixes of Get Down and Song 4 Mutya on repeat as well.

7) Michael Douglas - Neon Neon

The 80s are coming back in every way possible, and I'm loving every minute of it. It first seemed to start with Call On Me and now we've entered into new wave at full force. Neon Neon's debut album is everything good about 80s compact into a 43 minute LP titled Stainless Style. Just about every track on the album is amazing, expect a full review soon, but for now enjoy Michael Douglas. Hunt down I Lust U, Sweat Shop, Luxury Pool and Trick For Treat features the star-studded cast of Fat Lip, Kate Le Bon and Spank Rock.

6) Pumpkin Soup - Kate Nash

Kate Nash hit it big with her Foundations in the UK last year, but unfortunately for us in North America we've missed all of it. Here is Pumpkin Soup which is surprisingly at number 13 in Blender's Most Wanted Songs in America countdown this month. I'm so proud!

2) L.E.S. Artistes - Santogold

Santogold is by far one of 2008's most promising artists. She just released her debut album (again, self titled) a few weeks ago and she's gaining popularity at an alarming rate. L.E.S. Artistes is her first single, and XXXChange does a beautiful job remixing it. Pick her album next time you see it, you won't be dissapointed.

1) Lights & Music - Cut Copy

Finally, we've reached number 1. Cut Copy's In Ghost Colours has to be my favorite new find. Cut Copy has a comfortable alternative base, but they stick to the new-wave sound that we've grown to love. Lights & Music, Hearts On Fire and So Haunted all stand out as some of my favorite songs for the summer. Enjoy.
